District of Columbia Flag with Staff and Spear
Flags International is proud to offer this District of Columbia Flag with Staff and Spear. The flag of the District of Columbia, USA, consists of three red stars above two red bars on a white background. It is based on the design of the coat of arms of George Washington, first used to identify the family in the twelfth century, when one of George Washington’s ancestors took possession of Washington Old Hall, then in County Durham, north-east England. For heraldic reasons, the stars are properly called mullets. 4in x 6in flags come on a 3/16in x 10″ black plastic staff with gold spear tip finial. 8in x 12in flags are carefully hemstitched on all four sides for longer lasting beauty. 8in x 12in flags come on a 1/4in x 18in black wood staff with gold blunt spear finial.
