Ordering

Flags International has a user friendly purchasing system for online orders.  Customers can choose to make purchases by creating a Registration Profile, which will make future purchases easy or Checkout as Guest for those quick purchases.  Registering will create that “fast check out” and allow for access to order history and status.

Create an Account/Login

First time users and returning customers that used Checkout as Guest are encouraged to Create an Account.  The personal information collected in the user profile is strictly used for your purchases only.  No information is ever given to outside entities not directly involved with the purchasing process and is secured in our database.  Profile information includes:

Customers with profiles may have several Ship To addresses for future orders.  Customer E-mail Address and Password are all that will be required for future purchase login.  All profile information will be default information unless changed on future orders.

Checkout from Cart

Customers that are Friends on Facebook or have received special discount coupons from our Newsletter or E-Mail Blasts will have the option at Checkout to enter their Discount Code in the Shopping Cart area.  When you have completed your purchases, click the Proceed to Checkout button in the Shopping Cart area.

All customers are asked to choose their Checkout Method: Checkout as Guest, Register or Login.  Registering or Login customers will have their Billing and Shipping Information automatically imported in the forms.  Checkout as Guest customers will use the step by step Checkout process to complete their order.  All customers will have the options for Shipping Methods, Payment Information for changes and an opportunity to Order Review before submitting the order for processing.  Anyone that chooses to pay by Check or Money order should send the payment to:

Checkout as Guest will follow a standard Check out process but will not save information in a profile.

Flags International has daily pick-up and delivery via United Parcel Service (UPS) and United States Postal Service (USPS).  We will effort to ship all orders within 24 hours for items in-stock within the retail store itself.  If an item is not physically in-stock but is located in the off-site warehouses, we will ship those orders within 3-5 business days.

Payment, Pricing & Promotions

Payments

Flags International accepts various methods of payments for on-line orders.  All stock orders on merchandise will be processed at the time of shipping.  Your credit card payment will be charged the day your order ships.  If we are not able to fulfill the entire order immediately, your card will not be charged.  If we have any issues filling the order, we will contact you by telephone first.  An e-mail will be sent if we are not able to speak with you directly.

For Check/Money order purchases, please reference the order number on the payment.  We will pull your order at the time of purchase but will only place On Hold for 5 business days.  If the payment is not received in that time period, the items may be returned to stock for purchase.  Once the payment is received, items will again be pulled for shipment, if available.  Please mail payment the same day as the order to prevent any delay in shipping.

Pricing

Flags International reserves the right to make pricing changes on all products.  Pricing changes are dictated by manufacturer and production increases.  Flags International makes every effort to update pricing at the beginning of each calendar year but in year increases may sometimes warrant immediate price changes.  Shipping costs will also vary depending on the carrier and fuel costs.  As fuel costs continue to rise, Flags International will have to make shipping adjustments as those increases are made by the carriers.

Promotions

Flags International does try to offer Specials and Discounts to our loyal customers.  These Specials and Discounts are offered through our Monthly E-blasts and on Facebook.  Please join us by Opt-in on the Newsletter and Friend us on Facebook.  Discount Codes will be given that you may use at Checkout for discounts on prices or shipping.

Privacy & Security

Flags International is committed to maintaining the privacy and security of its customers’ information.  To better protect our customers’ privacy, Flags International is providing this notice to explain our online information practices and choices for our customers and the way your information is collected and utilized.

The Information We Collect (actively provided by the customer):

During the process of purchasing items, quotes or receiving materials, we will ask for customers’:

For other pages in which customers request to send gifts, etc to others, we will need:

With our website, you have the option of registering your information under an individual profile setting so you don’t have to re-type information again at a later date, except for payment information.  As a security measure, Flags International does not hold any credit card information in customer files, electronically or otherwise.  Once an order is placed, received and processed, the customer’s credit card information is erased from the system.  If a customer chooses to not create a login profile, they may check out of the system as a guest for their order.   Step by step instructions are provided for the customer during the check-out process.

How We Use Information Provided

Flags International only utilizes customer information for the sole purpose of completing or looking up past orders.  Customer profile information is NEVER shared or provided to any outside party except to the extent to complete that order, such as a ship to address for a third party that is being drop shipped directly from our warehouse.  All information regarding the order is held in our secure system.

Flags International will use return email addresses to answer questions regarding quotes, orders or questions we receive.  Such addresses are not used for other purposes unless determined by the customer to receive our newsletters, flag related updates, or other Flags International provided material and are never shared with outside parties.

Our Flags International updates are shared with customers that choose to receive the information provided.  Flags International will not use personal information for any other uses other than those listed previously without also providing an opportunity for customers to “opt out” or otherwise prohibit unrelated uses.

Securing Credit Card Information

Flags International is determined to always maintain the security of customer’s sensitive personal information such as credit card information.  All information is encrypted through our e-commerce site and directed through a secure socket layer (SSL) server.  This information is only used for the completion of individual orders and is immediately deleted from all systems once the order is processed and shipped.  No account information is ever kept either electronically or in customer files.

Changes in Privacy & Security

Flags International will notify customers of any changes in our policies or security issues as posted to this privacy statement, on our Home page, and other places Flags International administration deem appropriate so that customers are aware of what information has been/will be collected and under what circumstances we intend to use such information.  Any questions regarding this information or changes can be addressed at any time by e-mail to [email protected] or by calling 800-627-3524.

Returns & Replacements

100% Satisfaction Guaranteed!  Examine the item upon receipt.  If you are not satisfied with the item you have purchased, send it back for a full refund of the price of the product.  See Return Policy for product line specific details.

Exceptions: Shipping is never refundable.  If the original packaging is missing or damaged, there will be a 20% restocking charge.  If the product has been used, there will be no refund (experienced flag makers can tell if a flag has been used).  Special order items or custom orders are not returnable or refundable!  Table top flag or hand-held flags are also not returnable or refundable.

Return Policy

Stock Items: We will accept returns on stock merchandise (excluding custom, sale or clearance items) in NEW condition within seven (7) business days of receipt of purchase.  Customers must contact us to receive a Return Authorization.  The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.  Please include a copy of the invoice with a note of the return authorization person.  Upon receipt of the returned merchandise, Flags International will inspect the items.  If the items are found in new condition, a refund will be made using the same payment method as at the time of purchase.  A Flags International sales representative will contact the customer for credit card information for the return.  A Credit Memo with the Credit Card Return will be mailed to the customer.

Custom Items: Flags International will not accept returns on Custom orders without prior approval and under specific conditions.  Customers should ask to speak with the Custom Design department regarding all Custom issues.

Flagpoles: Cancellation of a flagpole project involving installation by Flags International may not permit for a full refund of the purchase.  Any special order flagpoles are NON-REFUNDABLE.  If a stock flagpole with installation is canceled, the purchase of the flagpole may be refundable but any costs or service provided prior to the cancellation will still be charged based on expenditures including time and materials.  Credit will be issued in the same manner as Stock Items with regard to payment method.

Flags International will not be held responsible for damage caused by improper handling, improper installation by customers, neglect, extreme weather conditions, shipping issues once the order leaves Flags International or acts of vandalism or accidents.

Replacement Policy

Unfortunately, there are occasions in which products are damaged during transit or errors are made in quantities of items being shipped.  Flags International attempts to do quality control checks on all orders shipping daily to minimize any shortages and ships items in sturdy cardboard boxes.  However, if you receive an order that is damaged or shorted, please contact Flags International immediately at 800-627-3524.  If your package shows signs of damage, please check everything thoroughly.  Flags International will replace any products damaged in transit by the carrier.  A claim must be filed with the carrier regarding any damaged products during shipping.

Shipping & Delivery

Flags International has daily pick-up and delivery via United Parcel Service (UPS) and United States Postal Service (USPS).  We will effort to ship all orders within 24 hours for items in-stock within the retail store itself.  If an item is not physically in-stock but is located in the off-site warehouses, we will ship those orders within 3-5 business days.  Shipping on all orders is non-refundable.  

Shipping Policy

Flags International believes in taking care of our customers in the best way possible.  For small product orders, we will try to offer a reduced shipping charge by using USPS Priority Mail as an option as opposed to the standard UPS Ground shipping.  For customers that need rush orders either 2nd day or Next day, we will do everything possible to have those orders placed before 12pm EST ship the same day.  Orders received after 12pm EST will still ship the next business day.  We will be as accommodating as possible so please contact us at 800-627-3524 for additional assistance.  With all shipping methods, we can provide a tracking number for our customers; however, once the package leaves our store, we cannot guarantee any further delivery times whether via UPS or USPS.  We will act on our customer’s behalf in dealing with any shipments but cannot otherwise influence shipping companies.

International Shipments

Flags International does ship worldwide via UPS Worldwide Express and USPS International.  Flags International does not include any sales tax or other taxes in our pricing for International Shipments.    The surcharge bill duty tax will be additional to all of our pricing and shipping costs as requested by the deliverer upon receipt of your order.  For information or quoting on pricing for various international shipping options, please call us at 800-627-3524 or e-mail Nicole at [email protected] .  When requesting a shipping quote, please include all items you would potentially order and have the Ship To address to include street number, city, providence, etc.  If you have a specific deadline for delivery, please include that in your request.  USPS International is generally less expensive than UPS Worldwide Express but may take longer in shipping.

For all international military shipments, Flags International exclusively uses the USPS Priority Mail.  We cannot track these packages beyond the stateside station for APO addresses.

Oversize Shipments

Flags International does its best to minimize all shipping charges for its customers.  However, packages over 5’ in length and beyond a certain girth are always considered to be “oversized” for standard delivery carriers.  In the case of oversized shipments, additional handling charges are automatically calculated in the packaging, handling and shipping.  If you have any question if your order might be considered “oversized”, please contact us at 800-627-3524 or [email protected] .

Flagpole Shipments

Flagpoles present a specific challenge with regard to shipping.  Flagpoles must ship via common carrier freight and Flags International will need to obtain a quote from a freight line for each order.  Flags International will make every effort to find the lowest cost carrier that will properly handle a flagpole order in shipping.  Please call us at 800-627-3524 and ask a customer service representative to assist you with your flagpole purchase and to send you a written quote to include shipping.

Damaged Products/Packages and/or Shortages

Unfortunately, there are occasions in which products are damaged during transit or errors are made in quantities of items being shipped.  Flags International attempts to do quality control checks on all orders shipping daily to minimize any shortages and ships items in sturdy cardboard boxes.  However, if you receive an order that is damaged or shorted, please contact Flags International immediately at 800-627-3524.  If your package shows signs of damage, please check everything thoroughly.

DO NOT DISCARD ANY OF THE PACKAGING as we may need it as evidence for the shipping carrier.  Replacement items will be sent as soon as possible, once a pending claim action has been filed and settlement is in process with the carrier.  For larger items delivered by common carrier, the freight carrier may choose to inspect the package.  Additionally, please mark on the Bills of Lading Potential Hidden Damage if you cannot thoroughly inspect the shipment at the time of delivery and have the driver initial your copy of the Bill.

Disposal of packaging prior to claim actions may lead to the claim being denied and force additional charges for replacement items to be incurred.  

Flags International will notify you when you may discard all damaged packaging or items.

Updating Account Information

Flags International has an area for Registered Customers to maintain full control of their user profile and review all orders.  Once you have logged in click on the ACCOUNT tab at the top of the website.  This tab will take you to the Account Dashboard area and allow you to review or edit the following:

Account Information: Customers will find the general account information such as name and e-mail here.  Customers may change their e-mail address or password in this section.

Address Book: Customers may review, edit and add to the Bill to and Ship to addresses in their account profile in this section.

My Orders: Customers may review all previous or saved orders in this section.

Billing Agreements: Flags International does offering billing terms to business customers in good standing with the company.  These agreements and terms will be listed in this section if the business customer purchases through the website.  Changes to business Billing Agreements must be requested in writing and will be amended by Flags International after a determination and agreement has been finalize.

Recurring Profiles: Any recurring profile for Registered Customers would be present in this section.

My Product Reviews: As part of the interactive nature of our website, we encourage our customers to submit Product Reviews for items that they have purchased.  These reviews will help Flags International to determine if some products are not up to the standards of quality that we require.  Additionally, Product Reviews will help future customers to make educated purchasing decisions based on the recommendations of product users.

My Tags: Customers may Tag items that they would like more information on or are contemplating purchasing or comparing to similar products.  These Tags may also allow customers to add items to their Wish List for possible gift ideas and future purchases.

Wishlist: Customer Wishlist items are for the ease of review and possible gift ideas.  We would encourage customers to use this area for any potential purchases.

My Downloadable Products: Customers may have images or ideas of items that they would like to share with others.

Newsletter Subscription: Customers have the option to receive a Flags International Newsletter and Informational Updates.  The updates include: Flags Flying Holiday Information Sheets, Notifications of Half-Staff Days, New Product items, and sales discounts and specials.  Customers may choose to subscribe or cancel from this section.
