The Pennsylvania flag consists of the state seal supported by horses with the state motto “Virtue, Liberty and Independence” on an orange scroll below laurel sprigs on a blue background. An eagle stands above a shield with three sections containing images of a ship, a plough and three wheat sheaves. An eagle stands upon the shield. 4in x 6in flags come on a 3/16in x 10″ black plastic staff with gold spear tip finial. 8in x 12in flags are carefully hemstitched on all four sides for longer lasting beauty. 8in x 12in flags come on a 1/4in x 18in black wood staff with gold blunt spear finial.
